  The Lead singer of cuban punk rock band Porno Para Ricardo, Gorki Aguila Castro was arrested monday august 25 in the morning, as he was about to start rehearsals for their new album.

  Gorki was arrested under charges of “predelictive dangerousness”, a legal resource, unique under Cuba’s totalitarian regime, under which any citizen can be detained and sent to prision for up to four years without having actually commited any crime, based solelly on the police opinion that the person has a delictive potential. There is no reason to consider Gorki a dangerous person in any possible way.

  Gorki Aguila works 40 hours a week in a state run workshop, he has never stolen or attented against anyone and takes care of his 12 year old daughter with outtermost devotion.

  The real reason for Gorki’s arrest is that through his songs he expresses his infonformity with the cuban political system as a whole, and exercises his rights as a human beeing.

  We invite all persons that feel like helping Gorki to sign this petition. Expect to collect thousands of signatures and show the world our most energic protest against the unjust arrest of Gorki.
